The Palmetto Carolers wish you a Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!​

As Christians, we have great joy in singing of our Savior’s birth. If you have never explored the claims of Jesus Christ (or Jesus the Messiah) as set forth in the Holy Bible, the Word of God, we encourage you to read the book of Isaiah, chapter 53, in the Old Testament and the Gospel of John in the New Testament. Both Isaiah and the Apostle John speak of the Messiah’s ministry on earth, Isaiah as prophecy and John as fulfillment of prophecy.

Simply put, the Gospel (or Good News) of Jesus Christ is this: Our sin (our disobedience to God’s law) has separated us from God, but Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for that sin. In raising Christ from the dead, God demonstrated His acceptance of Christ's payment on our behalf. Therefore, anyone who trusts in Christ as Savior and Lord will find forgiveness of sin and eternal life with God and will not come into eternal condemnation. The Bible also says this reconciliation with God comes only by God’s grace (unmerited favor) through faith in Christ alone.

In the words of the Apostle John:

​

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, King James Version).

And that’s good news worth celebrating!
